Polar Wire’s Multi-Listed wire is constructed with 30 AWG Class K fine stranding, giving it exceptional flexibility compared to standard building wire or battery cable. It’s built with 100% soft annealed copper and a durable PVC jacket that resists oil, acid, moisture, heat, and abrasion — ideal for applications exposed to vibration and harsh conditions.
This wire is UL listed and CSA certified with the following key ratings:
- 600V rated
- -40°C to 105°C (-40°F to 221°F) temperature range
- Meets UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 flame tests
- UL AWM styles 1232, 1284, 1338, 1426; CSA TEW FT-1
- CT (cable tray) rated for 1/0 AWG and up
Yes. It meets BC-5W2 marine-grade standards and SAE SGT automotive wire requirements. It’s suitable for use as:
- Marine-grade single conductor boat cable
- Automotive battery/starter/ground cable
- Wiring in RVs and off-grid vehicles
Yes. Sizes from 1/0 AWG to 750 MCM are CT (Cable Tray) rated, making them suitable for industrial environments where cable tray routing is used. The wire is also approved for machine tool wiring (MTW) and internal wiring of industrial control equipment, conforming to NEC and NFPA 79 standards.

100% Copper is utilized in all our conductors for utmost quality and conductivity - we sell absolutely no copper clad wire. We stand by our dedication to quality utilizing only the finest conductor constructions to ensure our wire remains at the peak of performance for industrial excellence.
Class K Stranding refers to the size and number of copper strands we use to construct our wire conductors. Our Class K construction uses 30 AWG copper strands to create our sizes. For more details on how many stands we put in each wire size, check out our Class K Conductors Table. Class K stranding contributes our wire's superior flexibility by flexing with our insulation and increases the conductivity of our by providing more strand surface area.
